Since 1990, Lisa has worked within multiple business entities such as the advertising specialty industry (ASI), the legal & advocacy professions, higher-education & residence life, occupational health/employee assistance programing (EAP), and health care. She is a professional speaker, author, and well respected organizational consultant, supervisor for providers-in-training, and mental health clinician. She provides professional counseling to individuals, couples & families. Her practice specialties include trauma informed care, survivors of abuse, individuals with disordered eating/eating disorders & body acceptance/attunement desires, women’s issues/empowerment, those living with depression, anxiety, self-injury tendencies, relational aggression, and grief and loss. She provides a safe haven for those facing life transitions & change, enduring separation & divorce, struggling with parenting dilemmas, families dealing with the effects of addiction/codependency, sexuality/gender/LGBTQI issues, spirituality & existential angst, the merging of power dynamics/oppression, and providing supervisory support for clinicians working towards licensure. Lisa is theoretically oriented in narrative, systemic, gestalt, existential philosophies, emotional intelligence and CBT/DBT/ACT frameworks. She approaches her guidance from the lens of trauma-informed care, holistic/individualized support, the hopeful meaning-making approach, and strength-based psycho-therapeutic perspectives. Lisa holds great respect and reverence for those she counsels, coaches, supervises, and consults with, as well as the healing, recovery, and discovery process.

About Lisa
Lisa graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in the Liberal Arts with an emphasis in speech and organizational communications. In 1993 she obtained a Master of Science degree in Education with an emphasis in Community Counseling from UW Oshkosh. She has studied with Transformations and the School of Spiritual Psychology and has taken additional coursework in Integrative Medicine, LGBTQI+ competencies, and Trauma-Informed Care.
Lisa became certified in 1993 and licensed in 1996 as a Professional Counselor with the State of Wisconsin. She became board certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors in October 2005. Additional certifications were obtained in Narrative Therapy from the Aurora Family Therapy Training Institute in August 2016 and as an Eating Disorders Specialist in June 2018 from the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals. Lisa has a strong interest in holistic healing and continues to integrate the creative healing arts, breath work, and other holistic healing modalities in her professional work.
Lisa resides in West Bend, Wisconsin and has deep roots in this community. Alongside her family and a German Shorthair Pointer named Beau, they live an active life, involving themselves in the community and enjoying time with family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, creating art, guitar playing, baseball, and communing with nature. You'll often find Lisa at one of the many local coffee shops, a craft fair, the farmer's market, the dog park, or enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Kettle Moraine area.

Lisa is active on the regional speaking circuit of Southeastern Wisconsin, providing dynamic programs, presentations, and keynote addresses to private and public sector organizations. Early in her career, she was the visionary founder of SpiritWings Productions, a speaking company that specialized in seminar, workshop and retreat development that honored the exquisite relationship between the body, mind, emotion, soul and spirit. Lisa recognizes the value of understanding the unique objectives her clients have and draws upon her rich personal and professional experiences when writing for publication and/or developing her presentations. Lisa is a master storyteller with a speaking style that is authentic and warm, personal and engaging. Her message is always inspiring, packed with hope, and delivered with enthusiasm and humor!
